First, I want to thank you so much for all your help. It's hard
to believe that the election is only five weeks from today! Please
pray for my entire family as we work extremely hard down the stretch.
I'd also ask that you pray for the other candidates and their
families as well.
During the last five weeks, the support for our campaign has been
overwhelming, and we are so humbled by the calls and by the
number of volunteers who have joined our effort. For example,
we are excited to see that we have been in first or second place
this entire week in the online poll at www.MagnoliaReport.com.
The question on the poll is: "Who do you think will win the
third district Republican Primary?" Please go vote if you haven't
done so already! Though this poll is not scientific, I believe
this early response shows that the people who follow Mississippi
politics closely, know what is happening and are seeing the incredible
support for our campaign, which is quickly growing across
the district!
We were honored to have recently received the endorsement of the
Mississippi Chiropractic Association and will be scheduling a news
conference announcing that in the near future. Our campaign for
Congress has also received several other very notable endorsement
letters which will become public soon. I am also happy to tell
you that I have been honored with the public support of a number
of elected officials, including Mayor Gary Rhoads (Flowood), Mayor
Jimmy Foster (Pearl), Mayor Mark Scarborough (Richland) and Representative
Ray Rogers (Pearl).
Last week we opened our Meridian campaign office, and so far
we're the only candidate to do so. We understand the vital role
that East Central Mississippi plays in the overall economy of Mississippi
and the Third Congressional District. We are excited about the growing
support base for our campaign there. In meeting with leaders from other communities throughout
the district, we understand that every area in our district has needs
specific to challenges they are facing. For instance, the need for
workforce training is a major issue in southwest Mississippi, and
this is an issue that has great impact on economic development there
and in other areas of the third congressional district.
In the last two weeks, we were honored with receptions
at Andy Taggart's home (Kirk Fordice's first Chief of Staff) as
well as Billy Mounger's home. We have had great news coverage in
the Starkville Daily News, WTVA-TV Tupelo, WCBI-TV Columbus,
the Meridian Star and WTOK-TV Meridian. We have also been on
a number of radio programs in the district and have gotten tremendous
response. Last night, I attended the Pearl Chamber of
Commerce annual dinner, and tonight we'll be with supporters at
"Justin's on the Lake" in Summit, and many more campaign events are on the horizon!
We'll keep you posted each week on our events and schedule. Please
call us at 601-420-2211 or for more information or to get involved
in our campaign, go to our website at www.greggharperforcongress.com.
VOTERS ARE TAKING NOTE OF GREGG HARPER'S
GROWING GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN!
Thanks to each one of you, there is great momentum and growing interest
in Gregg's campaign for Congress!
Gregg's grassroots support is growing daily and during the last
month we have brought on new staff members to handle calls from supporters
who have heard Gregg's conservative message loud and clear. To become
a volunteer, go to here.
DOOR TO DOOR CAMPAIGNING GET
INVOLVED!
Every Saturday between 60 and 100 volunteers go door to door in
the Jackson area, spreading the word about the true conservative
in the race for Congress, Gregg Harper. Volunteers will also begin
door to door activities this weekend in Meridian, Starkville,
Philadelphia, and throughout the district. Call the campaign office
at 601-420-2211 or go to the link above if you would like to participate
in our door to door campaign. Help make a difference in this
race!
WHERE DOES GREGG STAND ON THE ISSUES?
Gregg's views on the issues are the very reasons that momentum and
support has shifted to Gregg's campaign for Congress! His common
sense, conservative approach to our Immigration problems, for example,
is getting the attention of voters throughout the Third Congressional
District. There is also much interest in Gregg's involvement with
and compassion for "special needs children". Take
a look at these and the other issues that are important to Gregg...issues
that are important to Mississippi and to America. Go here
to see more about Gregg's stand on the issues.
